Recently, I stumbled over an article on e-commerce trends in 2021 that should not be ignored (read it here). Online grocery is increasing meanwhile non essentials and things we’re not using due to lack of social settings are obviously decreasing. Overall, global e-commerce sales are expected to increase by around 14% in 2021.
When you hear this information, what do you immediately make of it? What’s in it for you? This is a typical trend and trends are for creating ideas. Each change of behavior following a trend is an open door for business opportunities. So my question to you is:
- have you spotted some weak points in an online shopping experience that you could do better? (or contact the provider to offer your advice services?)
- is there a field of consumption that is still not online, but should be?
- how could you restart a process of buying something that is idle at the moment? (new ways of doing things that require stuff that we are not currently buying)
- what categories do you predict will skyrocket in online sales and how can you get a piece of that pie?
I hope that when you read an article, you don’t just read it, but READ as in: Reflect, Evaluate, Act, Dominate (I just made that up, but I like it so I’m keeping it!)
Some trends are just here for the taking. Make sure to grab them!
